Sigmund and The Sea Monster

Sigmund & The Sea Monsters, boy do I remember this show. God, It must have been the cheeziest ever!! The monsters apeared to be in a one piece rubber outfit. When the monster’s spoke, it looked like the person under the costume was trying to clap both hands to speak. They seemed to be more like hand pupets than looking at a full bodied (migit) person. The monsters kinda remind me of a Flinstones episode, were Fred had these new neighboors called the “Groosomes” I believe.. They looked just like the cartoon.. Hahaha. The co-star Johnny Whitaker also stared in another TV show called “Family Affair”. If you want a fun, silly, and safe show to watch with your children? This classic is the one for you.
The New Zoo Revue

THE NEW ZOO REVUE (1970′s)
This was one of my favorite shows growing up. The begining theme song actually got me off my feet. However, that turned out to be the only song the program that kept me from falling asleep; haha. I thought Henrietta Hippo was just hilarious. Looking back at the show now as an adult; I did not realize how many insults the characters had between each other. The show was probably more adult than the creators realized. If you can get past the borring musical solos in the show, they did deal with some heavy subjects at that time; such as greed, friendships, creativity and so forth. This was definately a made for kid TV.
