Note: before you make your complaint, kindly download the file in question and fully verify that the movie/sound is not mistaken for another work. Once you have verified the movie/sound, please provide the necessary information:
1. The title of infringing post.
2. The exact URL location, and name of infringing file to be removed.
3. Copyright holder’s or representative’s full contact information.
4. Include a statement that you legally own the active copyrights © to works listed above. In addition, please state that all information provided in the e-mail are true. Perjury is a serious & punishable offense.
5. In good faith, all full length downloadable movies & sounds made available through my podcast are carefully researched for public domain status; based on the public domain guidelines and other factors. In effort to protect myself and VintageNewscast against any false claims, copyright scams, copyright abuse, unlawful misrepresentation; and underhanded plagiarism from dishonest companies, organizations, and or individuals, please provide proof of copyright renewal dates (prior to 1964 and older), including any registration# (Library of Congress), and or an official (scanned) document stating all renewal dates of work and ownership, or proof of transferred ownership of each work. Thank you.
5a. If the complaint is about a vintage TV show, please submit proof of copyright renewal for the specific episode of work complaining about. Many old time TV shows have been known to have individual episodes that have fell into the public domain after 1963.
5b. Many articles are extracted from well known Public Domain and Creative Commons communities, including but not limited to “Wikipedia” and CreativeCommons.org. Articles are also written by VintageNewscast.com. If I have unknowingly copied an article that you feel is not creative commons, or under the “copyleft” license, (in good faith); please follow steps 1-5 to get article removed.
6. Provide a good faith explanation as to why you feel said file is an infringement? Please also keep in mind that this is a personal NEWS blog. Short clips & pictures are used properly according to the “Fair Use Act”. Your clips and photos are used solely for the purpose of news, education & criticism.

PUBLIC DOMAIN MOVIES
My blog supports Public Domain and Creative Commons works. I, creator of Vintagenewscast.com, fully respect the law, and all intellectual properties. In good faith (to the best of my ability and collective resources), I have taken ALL possible steps within my power, to ensure expired copyrights on all public domain movie downloads offered through my podcast/itunes; by utilizing many resources such as, The Library of congress website; in conjunction with the Public Domain Guidelines; and International Guidelines. Also various public domain web communities such as (but not limited to), Public Domain Torrents, the Open Content Alliance (ACA), the Reel Media International, and CREATIVECOMMONS.ORG. In addition, I keep myself abreast on copyright laws & On-line PD databases. NEVER would I intentionally advocate, encourage, nor deliberately share any works (knowingly), with an active copyright.
If any (full length) download-able movie, is believed NOT to be in the public domain; and or music that is NOT Creative Commons; or if film’s legal use/privileges has changed; or if I have incorrectly credited the wrong author, etc., PLEASE -EMAIL ME IMMEDIATELY. In addition, please provide information, such as the exact link, & and title of infringed movie/works; registration #’s, copyright renewal dates & documentation, contact information, etc.. TV SHOWS
A quick word about vintage TV shows. Occasionally, I may find Public Domain TV shows and offer them for free download. It’s important to remember that, each episode has it’s own individual copyright ©. DO NOT assume that an entire series is Public Domain, just because of one episode that lost it’s copyright ©.
ITUNES
As of April 2009; all free downloadable public domain movies, and creative commons works; such as OTR, music, etc., will be delivered via itunes only!! Members who do not own a video ipod, can use QuickTime movie player (free), itunes (free), or any other apple compatible movie player. Subscribe to my itunes feed, or you can go to my podcast section and download directly from my blog. My deep apologies for this but, it has become too time consuming & too much work, converting/re-encoding in two different formats for every film.

Copyrighted photos and sound clips used in the podcast, and blog are for the news purposes only; and are in accordance with the “Fair Use Act”, US CODE Title: 17 Chapter: 107. Photos that may have active copyrights, shall only be used exclusively, for the purpose of news, opinion, information, point of reference, educate, recommend.

My podcasts are released under Creative Commons License. You may share as you please; including on blogs, file sharing services, e-mail, etc.,. Creative Commons means “Some Rights Reserved”. The work is still copyrighted, I am only allowing you to share the podcast without the prior need for permissions or license fees. Do not derive, or alter any of my copyrighted © podcasts. All podcasts are for noncommercial use only. Helping the web community build quality content.

Most articles on VintageNewscast are released under Creative Commons. However, remember that these articles are still copyrighted. You may share and or distribute as you wish; but please DO NOT modify or change any text within the article, they must be kept as is including any links. If the article has an author’s name, THAT author must be given credit for his/her work; if wikipedia links are given under the article, then wikipedia needs to be credited as author, and needs to be used under the same license as GNU; if no name is present, then VintageNewscast should be given the credit. Absolutely NO commercial use will be permitted; without expressed written permission of the corresponding authors. You must use works under conditions of fair use, and personal use. We are fully protected under the law. Please do the right thing and ask. Thanks

All of MY screensavers are copyrighted ©. My creations (incl. photo manipulations, photo re-touch; photo restorations, textual designs, edits, wording, etc.) are copyrighted ©. Poems, quotes, captions used in my screensavers are fully copyrighted ©. Microsoft Windows is required to install. My screensavers are no longer “Creative Commons” therefore, you may only use my screensavers personal use!!! DO NOT SHARE, COPY, TRASMIT, EMAIL, UPLOAD, MODIFY, DISTRIBUTE, (INCLUDING Peer 2 Peer SOFTWARE, IE, KAAZA, IMESH, AND OR ANY OTHER KNOWN ILLEGAL PROMOTING APPLICATION), IT IS A VIOLATION OF THE LICENSE AGREEMENT. DO NOT wrap/bundle my screensavers with any other software. DO NOT alter my screensavers/wallpaper in anyway shape or form. Once you download, and or install my screensavers, you are bound to my license agreement. DO NOT try and extract images from any of my copyrighted screensaver. JIGSAW PUZZLES
Vintage Jigsaw Puzzles are fun standalone program that allow you to piece together beautiful art work. The puzzles are extremely realistic, just like the old fashioned puzzles back in the day. Vintage Jigsaws can consist of scenery, animals, people, and some original creations exclusively from VintageNewscast. Microsoft Windows 98 and better is required. These puzzles are now released under Creative Commons. You may share as you please with your friends. However, the puzzle themselves are still copyrighted. DO NOT RAP OR BUNDLE MY PUZZLES WITH ANY OTHER SOFTWARE; DO NOT TRY AND ALTER MY PUZZLES IN ANY WAY, YOU MUST GIVE CREDIT TO VINTAGENEWSCAST, YOU MAY NOT USE MY VINTAGE PUZZLES, for any other purpose other than personal use, without my expressed permission. DO NOT MISSLEAD DOWNLOADER’S TO THINK THAT MY PUZZLES COME FROM ANOTHER WEBSITE. DO NOT OFFER MY PUZZLES AS PART OF A MEMBERSHIP, THESE PUZZLES ARE FREE OF CHARGE TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE!
